霍克簡介
霍克公司為「解決疾病檢測問題」而創立。近年來，台灣和國際上有多種新興疾病爆發，多屬於人畜共通傳染病，如全球皆有人類感染禽流感病毒之案例；在台灣消失50年的狂犬病再現；鄰近的韓國爆發中東呼吸症候群冠狀病毒(MERS-CoV)感染症等。此類新興的人畜共通傳染疾病爆發常造成社會的動盪不安與經濟上的重大損失，這些傳染病的病原若能被快速和準確的篩檢，將對人類及動物的公共衛生和疫病之防檢疫有重大的貢獻。
我們的研發團隊擁有多年病毒學、分子生物技術以及疾病檢驗相關研究的經驗，已開發或正在測試多項核酸偵測技術和檢驗項目。目前主要服務有動植物及寵物疾病快速篩檢、人畜共通傳染疾病快速檢測、鳥類性別分子鑑定、客製化病原檢測相關研究案。與多數檢驗公司不同之處，本公司經嚴謹審核後發出之檢測報告會附實驗結果圖供客戶參考。未來將致力於研發現場檢測之動植物疾病檢驗套組、更完善且快速之核酸檢測平台和應用之分生試劑，能夠更廣泛的應用於各領域。
About Hawk Scientific
Hawk Scientific Co, Ltd was established to ‘solve the problem of disease detection’. Over the years, numerous outbreaks of new diseases have spread over Taiwan as well as the rest of the world. These were often diseases that could be spread mutually between animals and humans, such as the Avian Influenza Virus, the Rabies Virus that was eradicated 50 years ago in Taiwan but resurfaced, Korea’s outbreak of the Middle Eastern virus, MERS-CoV, and these are just to name a few.
Outbreaks of infectious diseases such as these, cause a large socio-economic impact causing community anxiety on top of the actual burden of disease. This leads to a greater cost of public health and thus impacts the economy as a whole. If the pathogens of these infectious diseases can be screened for quickly and accurately, it will contribute significantly to public health and epidemic disease prevention of both humans and animals.
Our research and advisory teams have many years of experience in the fields of virology, molecular biotechnology and disease-related research and have already developed and still in the process of developing a number of nucleic acid detection techniques and testing programs. At present, our main products are rapid screening tests of plants and animals along with companion animal diseases that allow prompt detection of infectious diseases between humans and animals, identification of sex molecules in birds, research of customized pathogen detection, microbial diagnostic sampling and delivery system.
In contrast to the majority of other companies, our company strictly reviews the above categories and then issues the test report along with the experimental results attached for customer reference. Our plan for the future is to be committed to the development of test sets for on-site detection of animal and plant disease, a more complete and rapid nucleic acid detection platform and related application of the sub-reagent, and thereby widely increase the prompt application and diagnosis in various areas of detection.
